Cabbage Patch Kids possibly returning to the small screen
Cabbage Patch Kids, one of the biggest crazes from the 1980s (our dad tells tales of knocking down ladies to get one for us for Christmas), may be coming back to the small screen in a new special.According to THR, Original Appalachian Artworks, which owns the Cabbage Patch Kids brand, says it has sold TV rights to Galen Walker, the man behind the new live-action "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" film.
A spokesperson tells THR that a script is in the works for an animated TV special that features these chubby little dolls. This will not be their TV debut, either. In 1984, ABC aired "Cabbage Patch Kids: First Christmas."
Fun stuff. We also demand new movies for the Garbage Pail Kids, the Getalong Gang and the Hugga Bunch.
