'America's Best Dance Crew' winner: I aM mE defeats the ICONic Boyz
There's a new "America's Best Dance Crew" in town, and tweens everywhere are presumably crying.The ICONic Boyz stole the spotlight from their very first performance in the Ke$ha-themed second episode, but ultimately fell short during the Season 6 finale as I aM mE brought home the gold.
The Boyz faced harsh criticism throughout the season, as many credited their success on the show to a cuteness factor rather than actual talent. While they were certainly a fan favorite, many viewers felt that I aM mE was more deserving of the top honor.
In their final performance on the show, I aM mE did their fans proud with a rendition of "Rocketeer" by Far East Movement. Runners-up ICONic brought the house down with Chris Brown's "Yeah 3x."
Season 5 champs Poreotix joined the fun with a hilarious interpretation of Rebecca Black's "Friday," including a Jason-like "Friday the 13th" killer. The JabbaWockeez, Super Cr3w and Quest also brought their skills to the stage, showing the newbies how it's done.
I aM mE may have celebrated on stage, but as they told us at the finale taping Thursday (June 2), they didn't actually find out the winner until the final broadcast reveal on Sunday. Each crew taped a faux winning (and losing) reaction, ultimately discovering their fate while watching the final cut of the episode prior to the MTV Movie Awards.
"We'll probably call each other, since some of us are gonna be split up," the crew tells us of their first order of business after the reveal. "Be like, 'Hey! We won' or 'Hey! We lost, but I'll see you later.' I don't know how that conversation would go."

ThE ICONIC BOYZ were great and it was wonderful that they made it this far it show's that kids do have talnet and yes I AM ME won because they were good. And it is ashamed that people out the made bad comment about this boys but I'm proud of this boy's because it take alot to do what they did and they were not intimidated by the older dancer. So the boy's are the winner in my eye's. Good for them and good for Icon dance studio for the great job they did with this boy Congrat's !!!!!!!!!
The boyz are talented and with work they will be great. Iamme was way more deserving now though!
Thank goodness Iconic boyz didn't win. I was going to like boycott the whole thing. Yea.. those boys were good but come on! There is no way they should have gotten THAT far. Other teams were better than they were. They were good but definitely not the best. Congratz to the winning team!!! yay!
Iconic boyz should have won the abdc they are really good and they have a lot of talent.i love the iconic boyz.btw madison is so ******* CUTE
Anybody who seriously believes Iconic Boyz deserved to be in the finals needs their head examined. Sorry, but they have not done anything more complicated then your average kid in high school. Boy bands like N Sync etc were doing waay more complicated choreo.
I AM ME did complicated choreo as did a number of crews this season... All better then Iconic Boyz. Iconic Boys only got this far because the producers fixed it.
Why do you think D-Trix bashed the HELL out them one week and the next week was all lovey dovey? He probably got chewed out by the producers... they certainly did not improve in one week.
