ABC sets 'All My Children' finale, premiere date for replacement 'The Chew'
"All My Children" will end its 41-year run on ABC on Friday, Sept. 23 -- and debut its replacement three days later. The network announced its plans to end long-running soaps "AMC" and "One Life to Live" earlier this year but didn't offer specific finale dates at the time. "One Life to Live" is scheduled to end in February 2012.
ABC also says that "AMC" will end "in a manner that respects the show's legacy and honors its history" and that "final episodes will celebrate the stories of the families that fans have grown to know and love over the years." Our partner site Daytime Confidential is reporting that the series may get a two-hour finale.
"All My Children" will be replaced in ABC's daytime lineup by "The Chew," a lifestyle/talk show dedicated to "celebrating and exploring life through food." Chefs Mario Batali, Michael Symon and Carla Hall ("Top Chef"), "What Not to Wear's" Clinton Kelly and "Dorm Room Diet" author Daphne Oz (the daughter of Dr. Mehmet Oz) will serve as hosts and discuss cooking, eating, entertaining and other aspects of foodie culture.
It's scheduled to premiere on Monday, Sept. 26.

The Chew ,,, BLAH !!!
The Chew,,, BLAH !!!
I will never turn that channel on again between 1-3
So NOT watching The Chew! I have to thank ABC because now I have no reason to turn on my television in the afternoon. Time to find some other activities.
This is going to bite ABC in the butt, big time. "The Chew" ? Are they kidding? The ratings drop will spill over into the local newscasts and into prime time, and they'll wonder why.
The chew sucks!!! But thats cool that amc might get a 2 hours finale....needs to go to nbc or fox
Will NEVER watch the Chew. anyone want to place bets on how soon it gets cancelled due to low or nonexistent ratings??? the picture should be OF ALl my children cast NOT the SPew!

The Chew, Yes spit it out.
How can you say "The Chew" sucks if you haven't even seen it? Silly. You'd rather spent hours melting your brains on soap opera BS than possibly learn anything that might improve your miserable lives? Silly.I'd watch it just for Carla Hall. Loved her on Top Chef!
