TV Ratings: Billboard Music Awards up from 2006, CBS wins in total viewers

Fast national ratings for Sunday, May 22, 2011.ABC won the target demo last night, on the final Sunday of the season, with the 2011 Billboard Music Awards featuring a show-stopping performance from Beyonce and, of course, that Justin Bieber/Selena Gomez kiss that has teenyboppers rending their garments across the nation. The show's ratings were up 7% from the last broadcast in 2006.
On NBC, the "Celebrity Apprentice" finale had a significant boost from last week's episode, rising over 15% in total viewers, while FOX's Animation Domination finales were lower than the last original episodes of their respective series. CBS broadcast "Jesse Stone: Innocents Lost," and though it helped to win the night for CBS in total viewership, it didn't win in the target demo.
Overall, CBS averaged 12.1 million viewers and scored a 7.8 rating/13 share in households. ABC followed with 7.4 million and a 4.3/7 share, with NBC in third (6.4 million, 4.0/6) and FOX (4.5, 2.6/4) in fourth.
ABC won the18-49 demo, with a 2.6, followed by NBC (2.1), FOX (2.2) and CBS (1.4).

Copy and paste Carina is at it again! Saying the ratings for the Billboard award show was &% higher vs last year. Madame Copy and Paste, the billboard awards did not air last year!
"Since its inception (created by Rick Garson), the BMAs had been telecast on the Fox network; however due to contractual expirations and other unforeseen circumstances, the awards were cancelled for 2007. Plans for a new version of the awards in 2008 (in association with AEG Live) fell through, and the BMAs were not held until 2011."
Wt that said, Britney was at the top of her game last night, as Beyonce did some silly dance infront of the Screen, Britney wasnt lazy liek beyonce and did two performances, what a tru entertainer Britney is.
On the final Sunday of the broadcast season, the 2011 Billboard Music Awards had a 2.9 adults 18-49 rating, up 7% vs. the last telecast in 2006 to lead ABC to the ratings win.

I gave the Billboard Awards show just a few minutes. Awful. It looks like most people gave it an hour and then left.
I was watching the tweets and most were saying it was terrible.
