'The X-Factor': Nicole Scherzinger, Steve Jones set to host?

nicole-scherzinger-gi-320.jpgEx-Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and Brit Steve Jones will host the U.S. version of "The X-Factor," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

A source tells THR a formal announcement is expected "shortly," ahead of Sunday's (May 8) judges rounds competition kick off in Los Angeles. The show debuts on Fox in September.

Scherzinger is a former member of girl group The Pussycat Dolls, a solo artist and former "Dancing with the Stars" competitor. Jones doesn't have much of a stateside profile, but has reportedly hosted some "big live TV shows" in the U.K.

The hosts join previously announced judges Cowel, Cheryl Cole and Antonio "L.A." Reid. Paula Abdul's involvement is still not clear.

Now there are going to be two Brits with thick accents - Cheryl Cole (Geordie) and Steve Jones (Welsh). I can’t wait to see the public’s response to this when the X Factor first season begins.

I guess this means we should expect one or two of the following judges from the UK X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent to join the USA X Factor’s judging panel as well:
Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh, Amanda Holden, Michael Mcintyre
