'The Voice': 'Jersey Girl' star Raquel Castro wins over Christina Aguilera
She's the 16-year-old who was like the little engine that could on "The Voice."
Long Island's Raquel Castro is full of surprises and she's not necessarily green to Hollywood. She played the "girl" in the Ben Affleck film, "Jersey Girl." But when it comes to singing, she says she's only been professionally training for a few months.
While Raquel performed "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis (who just happens to be the Season 3 winner of another talent competition, Britain's "The X Factor"), Blake Shelton tried to get one of the other coaches to push their button, later saying, "If there was ever a time in which I hoped for a great pairing" it was for her.
In the end, Christina was moved and she says that she knows from experience that "great things come in small packages."
We don't think her performance was the best we've seen in the competition, but she definitely gets points for showing up and fighting.
What did you think of Raquel's performance?
