'The Secret Circle': Gale Harold gets devious on screen and off!

If there's one thing we can count on when interviewing Gale Harold, it's his complete unpredictability. At the May 19 CW Upfronts in NYC, the star of the upcoming "The Secret Circle" was feeling particularly cheeky - and yet, even as he played coy, he managed to exude that classic Southern charm that makes us love him so.And, to be honest... that makes us a little nervous.
Check out the video interview below to see just what we mean. We talked to Harold about everything from his "Secret Circle" character to the Soviet shuttle that carried a mannequin into space. (It's true. We looked it up.)
After we spoke to Harold, we got an extended sneak peek of "The Secret Circle" pilot... and let's just say that he may be a playful trickster off-screen, but on-screen, his mayhem is much more serious. It's a far more menacing role than we're used to seeing Harold in, but he certainly relishes in it. "The Secret Circle" is set to air on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. this fall following "The Vampire Diaries." We can't wait!

That, my dear, was Gale being Gale. He is a strange and wonderful mixture of handsome man, fine actor, lovely human being, and adorable geek! Best interview of him I've seen in awhile!

He sure makes an interesting interview. CW shows aren't for me but I'm looking forward to seeing him in his new role. And the mannequin into space bit? So random. You learn something new everyday...

Absolutely Gale being Gale. It always gets me the people who interview him who don't seem to get his humor, intellect or character. He has such a unique sense of humor... I love who he picked as he would have lunch with and what his response was, and had the interviewer known anything about Gale, she would have known who Valentine was and would have understood Gale's reference to Hell. He's brilliant. Such amazing talent (and of course, his smile - wow!). I can't wait to see Secret Circle. I don't watch the CW, and if not for Gale I wouldn't have watched Hellcats (same with SC), but a powerful, dark, mysterious warlock? OH yeah, I'm so there!

I think he was talking about the guy in Hellraiser who had to kill people and absorb their essence in order to rebuild his body. You saw him being reconstructed over time: first a skeleton, then a skeleton with nerves, then muscles, skin. *lol* Love Gale! What a smile.
Classic Gale: sarcastic wit, Southern charm, and a killer smile! Can't wait to see him as an evil Warlock! Great interview!
