Fall TV Preview
The CW's 2011-12 schedule: 'The Secret Circle,' 'Ringer' and 'Hart of Dixie' lead fall lineup
The CW has announced its lineup for the 2011-12 schedule. The network picked up three dramas for the fall -- "The Secret Circle," Hart of Dixie" and "Ringer" -- and there have been a few timeslot changes. One of the biggest changes to the fall lineup is "Nikita's" move to Fridays at 8 p.m., which pairs it with "Supernatural." It's a smart move considering "Supernatural" and "Nikita" are probably The C-Dubs' two most adult shows. Another show on the move is "90210," which will now air Tuesdays at 8 p.m., acting as a lead-in for Sarah Michelle Gellar's "Ringer." (Kind of an odd pairing thematically, no?)
Fans of Josh Schwartz and Kevin Williamson will be pleased to see that each executive producer has their own night of programming. Williamson's new drama "The Secret Circle" (centering on a coven of witches) scored arguably the best timeslot: Thursdays at 9 p.m. after "The Vampire Diaries." Schwartz's "Gossip Girl" will act as a lead-in for his new medical drama starring "The O.C.'s" Rachel Bilson.
The network's new reality show "H8R" will air before "America's Next Top Model" on Wednesdays. The show is hosted by Mario Lopez and brings celebrities (think Kim Kardashian and Snooki) face-to-face with their haters.
The new lineup leaves "One Tree Hill" to midseason. The show was recently picked up for a ninth season consisting of 13 episodes.

Well, I guess I won't be watching Nikita in the Fall as it's on opposite Chuck and I will never forgo my Chuck!
H8R? Really? First, they don't need any guests, Mario Lopez could garner enough hate to fill the show for a season. Seriously, he's that bad. Second, who greenlit this thing? This will die a horrible death around episode three, provided that the CW has something else to air in its place. I guess that's a big advantage for a CW show...even though they know that most of their shows will fail, they can't afford to have other shows ready to replace them.
Chuck: But that didn't stop CW from pulling The Beautiful Life after 2 episodes in Fall 2009. Nancy: You could always record one of them with a DVR or VCR... or watch one of them online. Just because they conflict on TV, doesn't mean you have to choose.
I suppose the CW went with H8r to fill a timeslot, in which, once it horribly fails in fall, One Tree Hill will take its place in Spring.
Better then having to choose between OTH's final season and what could be another show of CW greatness, which could be saved until once OTH is over.
