'The Chicago Code,' 'Human Target,' others canceled: FOX makes room for the new
In our excitement about Fox's new pickups - like Zooey Deschanel's "The
New Girl" - we almost forgot that in order to make room for the new, Fox
has to axe the old. In this case, we're saying goodbye to freshman drama "The Chicago Code" and comedies "Traffic Light" and "Breaking In." We've also seen the end of "Human Target."
"Human Target's" cancellation comes as no surprise. The action adventure series, starring Mark Valley as Christopher Chance, was relegated to Friday nights with its 13 episode season burned off by early February.
Shawn Ryan's police drama, "The Chicago Code," filmed on location in the Windy City, floundered in the ratings, as did "Traffic Light." We are definitely going to miss "Breaking In," which was surprisingly funny in its post-"American Idol" slot, though it struggled to maintain the "Idol" audience.
Ouch. Bloodbath.
EDIT: "Lie To Me" has also been scratched from the schedule.

I SECOND THAT CHICAGO CODE IS THE BEST COP SHOW ON TV AND TNT SHOULD HOP ON THE FAN TRAIN
They didn' give Breaking In and Traffic Light a chance! They were both good ideas that deserved more of a chance than they got.

I agree completely! I'm very upset. One of the few decent shows on the air and so what do they do? Cancel it.

I third it! I hadn't thought about TNT picking it up -- any chance of that? And are TNT budgets comparable to FOX?
(If FOX budgets are somewhat below CBS/NBC/ABC then the it might not be too much of an adjustment going to TNT.)
Not really surprised about Human Target, but pretty bummed about Chicago Code ending.
I really enjoyed both shows. They were my favorites on FOX.
What the hell you talking about? Human Target wasn't "relegated" to Friday night. It was originally scheduled for Friday nights this season, but due to other changes in the Fox schedule ended up running on Wednesdays & Mondays instead. Sorry to lose it.
