'The Biggest Loser' finale FAQ: Anna Kournikova? Brett and Cara returning? Plus, where was Rulon?
We at Zap2it love to answer your real burning questions. Sure, the news is that Olivia won Season 11 of "The Biggest Loser." And after several days of speculation, NBC officially announced that Anna Kournikova is indeed replacing Jillian Michaels. But, what about the things fans really want to know?
So, we've gathered the answers to your most frequently asked questions after the finale:
Sure, Kournikova is an accomplished athlete, but does she have the background to train people?
Aside from playing tennis since she was eight-years-old, being ranked No. 1 in singles at 13, and later breaking into the world's Top 20 after turning pro, and being totally easy on the eyes, what gives her the background to train others?
According to an NBC press release, the tennis pro is a certified trainer and has worked with several fitness programs around the world. That includes lifestyle and fitness programs with the Boys & Girls Club of America, Cartoon Network's "Move it Movement" campaign to get kids active during summer months. She also worked with the organization, PSI, which focuses on children's health around the world and she has toured with the USO to meet the troops and speak to children about staying healthy and active.
Some of us have gotten to like new trainers Brett Hoebel and Cara Castronuova. Are they returning?
Looks like the two aren't sticking around. An NBC rep tells us that the two trainers brought in to shake things up this season will not be returning for Season 12.
Why wasn't Rulon Gardner at the finale?
An NBC rep says, "Since Rulon left the show for personal reasons, he wasn't eligible for the at-home prize among eliminated players. So, it wasn't necessary for him to weigh in along with the other Season 11 contestants. And the producers did reach out to him about participating in the finale, but they unfortunately did not hear back from Rulon, but we wish him the best."
Will Olivia and Hannah split the prize money?
Olivia says, "You know, it's funny. I've heard a lot of people say that and we don't have any formal arrangements, but you know, I share pretty much everything with Hannah my whole life as far as clothes, we'd go on vacations together -- so, I definitely will be sharing all my blessings with Hannah -- and I know that, I'm sure, she wouldn't object to going on a vacation or something together on my dime."
