Roseanne Barr in talks for 'Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea'

roseanne-barr-gi-320.jpgChelsea Handler is hoping to lure Roseanne Barr back to TV for a recurring part on Handler's new NBC series.

Handler tells The Hollywood Reporter she's been talking with Barr about appearing in "some guest episodes" of "Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea," a comedy based on Handler's book that NBC ordered for midseason. "She's interested in doing it, so it should be fun."

The show stars Laura Prepon ("That '70s Show") as Chelsea, and Handler herself plays Chelsea's self-righteous older sister. Handler wants Barr to play a recurring part as Chelsea's aunt.

If a deal works out, it would be Barr's first TV acting gig in several years. Her last role was a guest spot on a 2006 episode of "My Name Is Earl."
