'Real Housewives of New Jersey's' Melissa Gorga talks about the events of her son's christening

If you've just watched the Season 3 premiere of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," you may still be in shock at the violent and emotional events that broke out at new cast member Melissa Gorga's christening party for her son.
"When it was going on," Melissa tells Zap2it. "I was screaming at the producers and I was saying, 'Put your cameras down! This is my son's christening! This is not funny.' I was freaking. I didn't sleep for a week after that christening."
In fact, Melissa tells us she has no regrets about joining the Bravo show... except for letting the cameras shoot at that event.
"It's very hard on me, very bittersweet," she says. "I love to see my son's christening day, but to see my husband in such pain was agonizing to me to me to watch. And to just see that be the memory of my son's christening day is devastating. But, it's the reality. I've learned to face it and realize it happened. And I'm moving past it now."
Melissa tells us she believes fellow cast mate and sister-in-law Teresa Giudice only came over to her and her husband, because the cameras were shooting. And while that may have launched the evening's tragic events, she says it goes much further back than that.

"It goes very deep and it runs deep," she says. "So, it's going to play out and you're going to see exactly why my husband did what he did and reacted the way he reacted and why we're so bitter with her. And we're done with the whole front she puts up and we're not going to do it for the cameras. So, I think it's going to play out and you're slowly going to see our stories unfold."
The scene quickly becomes a jumbled mess of tilted cameras, yelling and screaming, and it becomes difficult to figure out what's going on. So, we asked Melissa if there's anything she wanted to clear up about the events of the night.
"I do want to say after watching it that the way that you see my husband," she tells us. "You are going to see so many different sides of my husband and that was my husband in amazing pain, ridiculous amounts of pain and emotion. And I feel it comes through."
What was your take on the events at the christening?

I forgot who said it, but the person on RHONJ who said Melissa and Teresa are very similar had it right - they could make peace but they're both alpha females, which makes it hard for them (and their alpha male husbands) to coexist. I genuinely believe Teresa wants to make things right, but I'm not so sure about Melissa.
Melissa and her husband are disgusting morons. Teresa and her husband are better people with character. Melissa is shallow, superficial and extremely unlikable. She should not be on the show.
this was not only shocking to watch, but very sad. makes teresa's table flipping episode look so tame. when teresa went to the table my first thought was "she's doing it for the cameras" BUT melissa didnt need to question her motives and the brother didnt need to act as he did. of course teresa could have walked quietly away as gia begged her to, but no way was she gong to do that. but then you have macho man joe guidice marching over thinking he's mr tough and then the s*** really hits the fan. animals they are, just animals. the whole lot of them. i feel so sorry for the children and for teresa's parents too. if this is how this season is going to be, i dont know that i will watch. too much drama, too many mean girls and crazy azz men. (if that's what you call them)
she's my favotite
Melissa and her sisters are awful, nasty, ******* and her husband is a drunken buffon
This episode was actually sad and hard to watch. Only because it's real people and real problems. The father with heart problems and the broken relationship with the siblings is very sad. And Melissa and her stupid sister are tearing the brother and sister relationship apart as they claim Joe to being doing. I hope it gets resolved, this kinda "drama" is just awkward too watch.
Italian families always act like their so close but from what I've seen from this show and in real life they are the biggest bunch of superficial, back stabbing animals on this earth

Teresa I think she's awesome .. her brother and Melissa act like they r jealous of Teresa.
I'm glad that Joe was there to defend his wife .. Teresa and Joe have to much class to be dealing with haters like them.
I want to tell Teresa that to keep her head up and I'll be praying for her and her family ..
