Neil Patrick Harris returns as Tony Awards host
Non-theatergoers just got a big reason to tune into the Tony Awards in June.Neil Patrick Harris will return as host of the awards, Deadline reports. The "How I Met Your Mother" star earned glowing reviews for his turn as host of the 63rd annual Tonys in 2009. He'll take the hosting reins from Sean Hayes, who also earned mostly positive notices for his work as host last year.
(Hayes is set to work on the Farrelly brothers' "Three Stooges" movie this summer.)
The 65th annual Tonys are scheduled to air June 12 on CBS, at which time you can expect lots of jokes from Harris about the still-not-officially-opened "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark." "The Book of Mormon" and "Scottsboro Boys" are the leading nominees; the full list is here.
