Michael Bolton on 'SNL': The guy is a cinephile

On Saturday's (May 7) Tina Fey-hosted "Saturday Night Live," Michael Bolton made a surprise guest appearance in Andy Samberg's latest Digital Short.

And the dude gets total cool points.

Samberg is spinning his usual blend of smooth rap R&B satire when Bolton enters the studio and takes the song in a totally different direction: He starts singing about Captain Jack Sparrow -- as in Johnny Depp's character from "Pirates of the Caribbean."



Before the song's done he's added riffs about "Forrest Gump," "Erin Brokovich" and "Scarface."

It's well worth a watch. Or two.
