James Brown honored by Wayne Brady on 'Dancing With the Stars'
What a touching (and fun) tribute.
"Dancing With the Stars" honored James Brown's birthday on Tuesday, May 3's results show with the help of Wayne Brady and Macy's Stars of Dance. (Nicki Minaj and James Blunt also performed on the show.)
Brown would have been 78 years-old today. He died on Dec. 25, 2006, from congestive heart failure. he is referred to as "The Godfather of Soul."
Brady's performance felt like an homage and was able to put his own spin on several of Brown's hits, including "Sex Machine." Brady also paid tribute to Brown's signature moves and scream during the performance, while the Macy's Stars of Dance performed a high-energy and fantastic dance routine. All in all, it was a great performance and a touching tribute.
We'll post video of "DWTS"' tribute to James Brown once it becomes available online.
What did you think of Brady's performance, Zappers? Was it worthy of "The Godfather of Soul?
