It's official: Ashton Kutcher joins 'Two and a Half Men'
Ashton Kutcher is now officially the newest cast member of "Two and a Half Men." CBS and Warner Bros. TV, which produces the show, announced Friday (May 13) that Kutcher will take over for Charlie Sheen on the sitcom next season. Reports of him joining the show leaked yesterday, and the deal is now done. The show will be Kutcher's first regular TV work since "That '70s Show" ended in 2006.
"I can't wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented 2.5 team, and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in viewers' homes," he says. "I can't replace Charlie Sheen, but I'm going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!"
There were strings of happy quotes from "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre, CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler and Warner Bros. TV head Peter Roth as well.
Lorre: "We are so lucky to have someone as talented, joyful and just plain remarkable as Ashton joining our family. Added to that is the deep sigh of relief knowing that our family stays together. If I was any happier, it'd be illegal."
Tassler: "Ashton is a pop-culture triple threat -- film star, cutting-edge producer and a social media pioneer. He brings creativity, energy and personality to everything he touches. We are thrilled to have him, and excited beyond words for what he brings to the next season of 'Two and a Half Men.'"
Roth: "Ashton Kutcher brings a new and distinctive comedic flavor to 'Two and a Half Men.' He is a big-time talent whose unique style will blend seamlessly with Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones and the rest of this terrific ensemble. We look forward to a great future for this revamped and re-energized show, helmed as always by the extraordinary Chuck Lorre, whose creative skills and consummate professionalism make him the best in the business."
So now that it's a done deal, what do you think? Will Kutcher keep you watching "Two and a Half Men"?

Oh gosh! This a tough one, if they get a god story following charlies departure, it might work, who knows.. he knows how to "play" dumb anyways... I will still miss charlie
I'll be watching. The writing on this show has been consistently hilarious...If that continues...why wouldn't I watch?
Consummate professionalism? You don't see other professionals backhanding people with vanity cards on TV shows not even related to the person being backhanded.
I hope that they finally cancel this series. I am bored of it. Charlie Sheen had such a promising career and I am so disappointed to see the direction that his life and career has gone. He has done some great movies in his time such as Wall Street (1987), The Three Musketeers (1993), The Arrival (1996), Shadow Conspiracy (1997), Postmortem (1998), etc. I always wanted him to just do mainstream movies, particularly serious films and dramas, try to reach his full potential as an actor, join the A-list and try to win an Oscar. But now I have just given up on him. He hasn’t surpassed his father, Martin Sheen who still gets better roles and does bigger movies and he has become the laughing stock of Hollywood.
It can work, I like Ashton and he does have a following so people will watch. I was never a big 2.5 fan to begin with and only started watching a few seasons ago so I'm not as invested in Charlie sheen leaving as others are. Just gotta see what happens.
Yay! now I'll actually watch the show!! :) I love Ashton!

I really LOVED Ashton as Kelso on That 70's show.
He definitely does have the comedic chops to pull it off.
Mostly it will depend on the storyline. How they introduce him onto the show.
T-minus 24 episodes, folks! Enjoy the last season of Two and a Half Men!
DUH, NOT WINING. This is not going to work. Hearing all the producers say how happy they are and how great the show is gonna be, will make it so much funnier when the show FLOPS after people bail after the first episode.
