'Grimm': Once upon a crime series paired with 'Chuck' Friday nights on NBC
Who's afraid of the big bad wolf? Not NBC.
"Grimm" is a new fantasy drama series inspired by the classic Grimm's Fairy Tales. Detective Nick Burkhardt (David Guintoli, "Turn the Beat Around") is a homicide cop who finds out he is a descendant of an elite group of hunts, known as "Grimms." The Grimms fight to keep humanity safe from supernatural creatures.
As Nick digs deeper into his past, he finds out that all those things from under the bed/in the closet/lurking in the shadows are, in fact, real. Russell Hornsby ("Lincoln Heights"), Bitsie Tulloch ("Quarterlife"), Silas Weir Mitchell ("Prison Break"), Reggie Lee ("Persons Unknown") and Sasha Roiz ("Caprica") also star. Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner ("Hot in Cleveland") serve as executive producers, Jim Kouf ("National Treasure," "Angel") and David Greenwalt ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Angel") are the creators/executive producers and Marc Buckland ("My Name Is Earl") is the director.
"Grimm" will air Friday nights at 9 p.m. following "Chuck."
NBC entertainment chair Robert Greenblatt says of the pairing, "We wanted to do some reinvigorating on Friday night. We really wanted to get more scripted shows on Friday night. We liked 'Grimm' a lot, we didn't want to just put it out there with nothing leading into it. I personally like 'Chuck.' I know it's been on the bubble perennially, but if we have a chance to transport an audience to Friday night, it might be something that has a real loyal following."

I'll give it a shot, but this looks like it should be on Syfy. Still, I appreciate the efforts to keep Friday night alive.
This looks interesting. I am a HUGE Chuck fan and will watch Chuck on any night. I will stick around to check out the first episode -though I am leery to invest myself in ANY sci-fy show on NBC since they rarely let any go past a full season (except Heroes which was dreadful after season 1).
hmmm.. interesting. reminds me of buffy.
Sounds interesting. I enjoyed "Charmed" so this should get me into watching on a Friday night.
Grimm sounds like a ripoff of Supernatural. "Hunters" keeping people safe from supernatural creatures? No thanks. Think I'll stick with Supernatural.
I to was thinking a supernatural ripoff, but i will give it a chance. As for CHUCK i know friday is the death slot and i know that it hasnt done good at all in the ratings. Which is why even though im thrilled its been on for this long and has 1 more season to go(maybe more), im actually glad its moving to fridays. theres to much competion on mondays. I mean you have WWE Tough Enough Sanctuary Dancing w/the Stars, House Jail 90210. Theres almost nothing on on fridays anywhere. The biggest things on friday are WWE Smackdown Supernatural Kitchen Nightmares and Real Time with Bill Maher. So i think it may be a good move for Chuck.
seems like ripoff of supernatural and they are trying to compete with considering they both on at the same time friday at 9. Supernatural did have an episode called bedtimes stories bakc in season 3 which did feature some of the orginal versions of the fairytales written by the brothers grimm.
grimm sounds like the 2002 show special unit 2 from upn
I refuse to watch ANY new shows by untrust-worthy network! Why? Because imagine someone telling an interesting story, then turning on their heels and walking away, not finishing their story - that's extremely rude, yet that's what networks are doing to us regularly.
There's plenty of near-dead time-slots for a "movie of the week" to close out a show, so to me, it's just that the networks don't give two hoots about their viewers, so I won't watch your ads that pay your bills.
The shows I'm currently watching are because of other viewers' recommendations. If it's highly rated, I'll give it a chance - that's it though.
