'Grey's Anatomy' finale: 'There's consequences' for Meredith, says Chandra Wilson
To say there's a lot going on in the "Grey's Anatomy" season finale Thursday (May 19) would be an understatement.
As the hospital is hit with a major medical emergency, Christina (Sandra Oh) reveals some surprising news, and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) deals with the fallout of Alex (Justin Chambers) exposing her for tampering with the Alzheimer's trial.
"You know we like the crisis at 'Grey's Anatomy,' but nobody's getting shot or anything like that," Chandra Wilson, who plays Dr. Bailey, jokes of the medical emergency on Thursday's "The View."
"This is a more character-driven season finale," she continues. "There's things going on in the hospital - everything about Meredith switching the placebo with the real thing [on the Alzheimer's trial], so Adele can get the real thing. There's consequences to that."
In the finale episode, Meredith's actions will spiral now that her secret is out. Everything seems to be in danger: her relationship with Derek (Patrick Dempsey), her job, the hospital's reputation, and her pending adoption.
Meanwhile, Christina will reveal to Owen (Kevin McKidd) that she's pregnant, and she's not too happy about it.
