Fall TV Preview

FOX's 2011 Fall TV schedule, night by night

fox-new-girl-fall-2011.jpgFOX officially unveiled its schedule for its 2011/2012 season with reporters on May 16, and leading off the fall is the three hours' worth of "X Factor" (the new competition import from Simon Cowell) and the long-awaited debut of the big budget "Terra Nova."

Since word of pick-ups and cancellations trickled in over the week leading up to the big announcement, there aren't many surprises here -- though the network apparently plans on airing at least a lump of "Bones" episodes before star Emily Deschanel's maternity leave curbs production, leaving room for spin-off "The Finder."

And speaking of Deschanels, Zooey's series, "New Girl," gets a prime post-"Glee" spot on Tuesdays.

A TV show based on Napoleon Dynamite? Huh. Will this fail like My Big Fat Greek Life did?

No Million Dollar Money Drop?

I do wish that FOX would reconsider not keeping Chicago Code. I think it's one of the best shows on TV. I think they could do with a lot less of the reality crap.

I wish Fox would keep Breaking In - the show got better every week and the season finale was hilarious - also, the show made a good companion to Raising Hope when they paired them together on May 17.
