FOX 2011-12 schedule: 'Terra Nova, 'X Factor' lead new fall lineup

FOX is kicking off the 2011-12 television season with new shows "The X Factor," "Terra Nova," a pair of comedies titled "New Girl" and "I Hate My Teenage Daughter," both of which are still working titles and a new addition to its Animation Domination lineup with "Allen Gregory."

For midseason, "American Idol" is back with a special premiere following the NFC Championship game. New dramas for midseason include "Alcatraz" and "The Finder," while "Glee" will take a spring hiatus for new comedies "Family Album" (staring "Glee's" Mike O'Malley) or "Little in Common" with Rob Corddry and Animation Domination will add "Napoleon Dynamite" to the Sunday lineup.

"24" star Kiefer Sutherland is also returning to FOX in "Touch," which centers on the relationship between a single father and his 11-year-old son with special needs. Their relationship and their lives take an extraordinary turn when the gifted son begins to make connections in his life and around the world. Production on "Touch" begins this summer. There is no word yet on where it will be scheduled for FOX.
