Speaking of USA, the cable channel's Sunday shows "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and "In Plain Sight" got off to solid starts over the weekend. "Criminal Intent" returned to an audience of 5.1 million people, way up from last season's debut, while "In Plain Sight" drew 3.9 million viewers. [USA]

And still more from USA: At its upfront Monday it announced development on a dozen new series projects, including several half-hour comedies. Among the comedies are "On We Go," starring Nathan Lane as a down-on-his-luck actor and "We the Jury," about jurors sequestered during a high-profile case. [USA]

"NYPD Blue" and "L.A. Law" creator Steven Bochco is developing a drama called "Church of Rock" at Showtime. Details about the show are being kept secret for the time being; Bochco is co-writing a pilot with his "Over There" partner Chris Gerolmo. [Variety]

"Judge Judy" will be dishing out her televised brand of justice for several more years. The highly rated syndicated show has been renewed through the 2014-15 season. [EW]

YAY!!! I love Fairly Legal, so happy it'll be back!!

I love Sorkin, I love his shows and I think that the idea of using a CNN-type environment is great...right up his alley. And having it on HBO will give him the ability to make it realistic.

Unfortunately, having Olivia Munn in the cast may keep me from watching it. Who is it that keeps casting this no-talent? She thinks acting is reading off the cue cards and then making ugly faces at the camera when she's supposed to express emotion. How in the hell did Sorkin agree to her casting?

If her part is a major one, I won't be watching.
