'Dexter' adds Edward James Olmos for Season 6
"Battlestar Galactica" and "Stand and Deliver" star Edward James Olmos has been added to the growing list of guest stars joining Showtime's "Dexter" for its sixth season. The Emmy and Golden Globe winning Olmos will play "a brilliant, charismatic professor of religious studies," according to Showtime.Olmos joins previously announced Mos Def and Colin Hanks as guest stars for the upcoming season, which started shooting this month. The show will most likely debut in mid to late September. No date has been announced yet, but that is typically when the show premieres each fall.
We loved Olmos' work on "BSG" and as Justice Mendoza on "The West Wing," not to mention his numerous movie roles. Should be a fun addition to the cast, especially since Mos Def's character is described as religious too. Will Dexter be having run-ins with men of faith?
And of course, we are still keeping our fingers crossed to see Julia Stiles again (though we aren't holding our breath).
