'Dancing With the Stars' results: Ralph Macchio needs a miracle

He started Season 12 as one of the most promising contestants, but after some inconsistent performances and a score-shrinking injury in week 9, Ralph Macchio continued to languish at the bottom of the leader board during the "Dancing With the Stars" semifinals.

It's clear that he's not the judges' choice to make it to the finale -- but could his fans still rally to push him into the championship?

Wearing gluteal padding and man spanx, Macchio joined partner Karina Smirnoff for an Argentine Tango and Salsa that paled in comparison to performances from competitors Chelsea Kane, Kirstie Alley and Hines Ward -- most whom nabbed at least one perfect score during the night.

Macchio, on the other hand, had a cumulative score of only 48. His fans turned out for him last week, pushing him into the semifinals ahead of the higher-scoring Romeo, but the gap in scores may be too great to compensate for at this stage in the game.

Thanks for playing Ralph... You can't play the injury card any longer. Not even Mr. Miagi can help you know!

It would be so much better if Chelsea went home!!

Ralph has been a class act. The judges could have been more constructive in their criticism of him and not thrown the childish jabs that they did. It is a shame for the show to end with the cheap theatrics of making sure Chelsea made it to the finals. What happened to it being an enjoyable show without all kinds of politics? So unfortunate.

Chesea, who if I can get over Mark's bloated ego and Muppet mouth, has been growing each week. She and Hines clearly outdanced Ralph. Kirstie has outdanced no one, ever on this show-- moves the least. She should go home, but Ralph will. I've picked Hines as the sleeper winner since week 2, but Chesea may take it now. Mark, who I do like usually (Kristie's season) has let his ego get in the way, and this win will just make it worse. Pulling for Hines.

Kirstie is the worst dancer but has the biggest fan base. She should have gone home weeks ago.

He's such a whinea$$! He needs to go home, he's no DanielSon. Hines baby!!

"Its clear that he's not the judges choice to make it to the finale." Gee, YOU THINK??
Take a good objective look at him and Hines doing the same dance. Its.....the same dance. Same skills, same flaws. I do not follow sports so maybe Hines is really a super loveable guy and worthy of all the praise they are sucking away from Ralph to lavish on his royal Hinesness but have a little subtlety for goodness sake so its not so obvious what lousy biased judges you are.

Ralph is a decent guy, but I think he should've went home last week instead of Romeo, but at the same time I think that Kirstie should go home too.

I think the judges were way too hard on Ralph and soft with Kirstie every week. She hasn't really danced that much. She needs to leave......

I can't believe that Ralph was kicked off before Kirstie or Hines. It is very clear that the judges were paid by someone to vote him off. I feel bad for him. This show is definitely fixed.
