'Dancing With the Stars': Kirstie Alley's weight loss down to 'Oprah reveal' level
As it's been the case for most of her recent career, discussion of Kirstie Alley's participation on "Dancing With the Stars" almost always turns to weight.
The 60-year-old actress' size has wildly fluctuated over the years, and though she's lost a noticeable amount since she first stepped out at the "DWTS" announcement, she's still not saying a number.
She says she hasn't weighed herself, but we think she's just being coy.
It's not that she won't talk about it, though. Zap2it was backstage after the week 8 performance show when Kirstie opened up about her size, saying she's down to the weight she was when she famously stepped out on the stage of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in 2006, clad only in a bikini.
"I think I'm at that right now," she says. "But I need to be less than that. When I saw the Oprah deal, I thought, this looks like a rappers' girlfriend... too much on the thighs, too much on the butt."
So after gaining all of the weight back and then losing it again, Alley says she's sporting a size 6 in her DWTS garments -- but she doesn't trust it. "The stylists brought me 4s and 6s this week," she says, "but they're kind of stretchy so I'll look for the dress that's immovable."
What size will make her happy? A "legitimate" 4. "I have one Alexander McQueen [dress] that's a legitimate 4... it doesn't move," she says, saying it will give her peace. "When I'm in that... looking hot."

There is absolutely no way she is a size 6. With all those foundation garments squeezing her in..and she even wears pantyhose to contain her arm fat, she is definitely not out of the 180's yet. She MIGHT be a size 12.
Yeah right. It's really sad when people feel they have to lie about their weight/weight loss. I'm 175 and 5'5" and look thinner than her and I'm a size 10/12 right now. There is no freaking way this woman is a 6 or even a 4. She could be a 16 or a 14.
She could be showing people a realistic number and owning up to how big she really was, but now she's spreading lies and emphasizing how 'important' it is to be a certain number. And people wonder why eating disorders are so rampant these days?!
Maybe she is a size 4 or 6 in a ONE SIZE FITS ALL garment, hahahahaaaaa...lmao....
Who cares what size she is...she's in her 60's and as a Woman I can only hope to bust a move like she's doing, and look that great! I'm 165, 5'9 and don't think I could handle that dancing! Go Kirstie!
I love her and I think she is doing a fabulous job. I don't care what size she is she's doing it. I hope she WINS the mirror ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go Kirstie! Does not matter what size you are, you are beautiful, sexy, and I could not do what you are at age 56.
Go for the GUSTO girl!
Never new expensive clothes ran so large. The other dancers must be wearing - 0. They cut clothes fuller so you feel better about yourself & you'll buy it. She did say she couldn't wear spanx with the costumes so they must be made with the same type of fabric.
It doesnt matter what she weighs, but why lie about it, there is no way she wears a size six, if so I they are definitely making bigger sixes nowadays. I know how she feels yo-yo weight, I have done it all my life but no need in lying about it people are not blind
What protein drink was Kirstie talking about on the Elen DeGeneres show?
Clothes sizing various dependent upon the designer therefore, it may be possible that she is telling the truth about her estimation. Also, the camera does add weight to people, so she is probably smaller than she looks on camera. She inspires me and she seems like a fun, nice lady.
