'Dancing With the Stars': Kirstie Alley's jive divides the judges

It's not often that you see the "Dancing With the Stars" judges give scores of 6 and 9 to the same dance. But it happened to Kirstie Alley on Monday (May 2).Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy's jive to "La Bamba" drew a wide range of reactions from the three usual judges and guest Donnie Young, with Len Goodman calling it "uneventful" and giving it a 6. Bruno Tonioli, meanwhile, said that "as entertainment, it was superb" and awarded the couple an 8. The 9 came from Young; Carrie Ann Inaba gave them a 7.
The score of 30 was one of the lower individual scores of the evening, but of course the judges' tally alone doesn't determine Alley's fate. Take a look at the video and let us know what you think: At which end of the scale would you rate the dance?

Her footwork and timing were off, her kicks weren't great, and honestly it didn't look like she was even trying to keep up. Don't know if that was the whole "theme" of the dance, and if it was, it's still kind of a copout to me. The other five dancers are clearly getting better and not that Kirstie is bad, but she is the weakest one.
Donnie was a great dancer but a useless judge,,,weird!

I think she did really great! I loved it! And the judges really underscored her IMO.
She was overscored......Kendra was underscored...
The choreography was great but Kirstie's movements need to be bigger, on a grander scale. The dance lacked energy and joie de vivre. If she's serious about making the finals, she'll have to start taking risks and putting emotion into her dance. Snow - you said it right IMO! LOL!
I thought it was very entertaining, and fun! Hey, try to remember Kirstie is not in her 20s or even 30s! I think she did a great job, regardless of age. She made me want to get up and bop!
