Cheryl Cole's bad week continues: Out as 'X Factor' UK judge too
Poised for world domination only a month ago, British pop star Cheryl Cole is now out of two jobs.
Days after her unceremonious booting from the judges' table of the upcoming US "X Factor," it's been announced that she no longer has a gig on the British original.
"X Factor" announced panelists for the 2011 run include returning judge Louis Walsh, Take That singer Gary Barlow, hip-hop star Tulisa Contostavlos and Destiny's Child alum Kelly Rowland. No mention of Cole was made.
British network ITV isn't the only camp keeping mum about Cole. FOX and producers of the U.S. "X Factor" still decline to comment on the reported judges' shake-up, which sees Pussycat Doll and "Dancing With the Stars" champ Nicole Scherzinger moving from co-host to Cole's spot as judge.
Rumored reasons for Cole's "X Factor" dismissal include her strong Northern English accent and a lack of chemistry with fellow host Paula Abdul.

This is proof that her leavin the American version had NOTHING to do with her accent. Bottom line was there was going to be a behind-the-scenes cat fight eventually, and now it has been overted. She wanted to be the stand-out lone female and with Paula there it wasn't happening.
She never wanted the UK job back. They were offering her loads of money to try and get her back and she turned them down. Why must it be portrayed as it not being her choice when it absolutely was?
Get off her back and stop trying to make out she was ditched from the UK show when she wasn't.
@Jersey Scum: You obviously know nothing about her. She and Paula were getting along famously according to everyone who was at the auditions. She was not trying to "upstage" Paula. She's on the record as adoring her and Simon even said there was a 'lovefest'.
Cheryl's a decent woman so get over yourself.
Now she'll be available to judge on the UK's version of 'The Voice.'
I'd rather watch Cheryl than Paula and Nicole. Paula's a nutcase... and Nicole proved on The Sing-Off that she can't judge.
That's sad. Maybe it's time for her to do other gigs.
FOX is in BIG BIG trouble for U.S. version of The X Factor. Hope it will go down in ratings after the first episode.
I much agree with you Kevin, they had a hit on Cheryl Cole and they let her go.
