'Charlie's Angels' photos: See the new Angels in action
ABC officially unveiled its schedule for its 2011/2012 season with reporters on Tuesday (May 17), and it shocked no one to see "Charlie's Angels" make the line-up. "Charlie's Angels" scored the 8 p.m. timeslot on Thursdays.
The reboot of the '70s smash hit stars Rachael Taylor, Annie Ilonzeh and Minka Kelly, who have inherited the iconic wings. Well, not wings, but you get the idea.
Taylor plays Abby, a park avenue princess who became a world-class thief. Ilonzeh is former Miami cop Kate, who fell from grace and lost her career and fiancé in the process. Kelly plays Eve, a street racer with a mysterious past. Abby and Kate partner with her after one of the angels' missions ends in Eve's childhood friend Gloria's death. Taking on the role of Bosley is Ramon Rodriguez.
ABC released photos from "Charlie's Angels," including Abby and Eve's first meeting (strangling is involved), the Angels and Bosley making a getaway and Eve on a motorcycle. You're welcome, boys!
Will you be watching "Charlie's Angels" come this fall, Zappers?

PLEASE! Don't hate on the NEW Charlie's Angels, this reboot isn't going to FAIL. This will be a great fit for Thursdays at 8 p.m. Come on, NOW. These NEW Angels will outlast the original Angels for good in my opinion and these three actresses (Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh) are destined to become the breakout stars to shine.
@Kevin Considering reboots tend to have a greater failure rate than success - for every Hawaii 5-0 that succeeds there are several V's that don't - the odds are not in the Angel's favor. So far I've seen nothing to inspire me to watch this. The photos make the cast look bland, nothing to suggest personality or humor. They need to get some video out there. I mean, do the three girls have any chemistry? Will the show retain the tongue-in-cheek nature of the original and the movies? Will the show follow the lead of the movies and actually maintain continuity with the original TV series in some way? (Not impossible since Drew Barrymore made this happen in the movies and she's involved in the TV show, I believe.) Will the show maintain the fantasy-like feel of the movies? All this is impossible to tell from some rather lame images. That's not "hating" on the show - it's just observation.
One thing I don't see is anyone to compare with either Farrah Fawcett or Jaclyn Smith.
The "Angels" just don't look that interesting. But I will check out the first show. And you know that one of the remaining original angels will make a cameo appearance at some point....if the show makes it.
looks like typical bland pretty gals
nothing interesting in the casting
average bland LA looks that they like to cast on tv
hopefully their acting is better!
