'Celebrity Apprentice': NeNe Leakes explains herself, 'I call my own shots'
It was a huge surprise to us on "The Celebrity Apprentice" when No. 1, Donald Trump moved NeNe Leakes from ASAP at the apparent request of Star Jones and No. 2, NeNe quit the show.
"I call my own shots in life, I do whatever I feel, and when my gut tells me to do something, I follow my gut feeling," NeNe says on Monday's (May 9) Access Hollywood Live.
We can see all sides when it comes to what went down. If we were NeNe and sensitive about the way our teammates were portraying us, then we may have left too. We'd also be annoyed that Trump folded to pressure from Star. Of course, some would say that Star has the right to feel safe in the workplace - even if that work place is on TV. Hands down, we feel bad for Backbone, because they could have used Miss NeNe.
"I felt like it was a toxic situation for me and for my own sanity and health reasons and everything else, I decided to leave the show," NeNe continues to explain her departure. "Star was absolutely being manipulative and backstabbing and all those things, but the final straw for me was when Mr. Trump decided to switch me, take me out of my comfort zone to accommodate Star."
Hm, we guess NeNe isn't voting for Trump if he runs for president? Huh?
NeNe says she'll be back for the finale episode and despite telling Zap2it first that she didn't feel like going back to Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," Leakes says she's currently three weeks into shooting the reality show's fourth season.

Good for you NeNe, The Donald folded for Star. Who does he think he is? Good job snubbing him. His ego was really bruised. I hope NeNe tell him her true feelings on the reunion show. He tried to make up for it by firing Star later on in the show. And then there were none. Lil Jon you are next. How boring. Star was not afraid, just a sneaky, evil witch. You did not beat NeNe, her leaving was appropriate in my book, never thought I would see the donald cave in like that. Donald Trump YOU ARE FIRED!
altho i cant stand Star and her work ethics , NeNe is no picnic. she is loud and abrasive and a huge bully which she also portrays on the housewives show. she sure is full of herself, and dont think shes a prime candidate for speaker of any charity, she needs to get over that huge ego of hers and learn anger management

NeNe is a disgrace. She is loud and ignorant.
NeNe trusted everyone. She came on Housewives and told her painful story - abandoned by mom, beat by boyfriend for 5 years, father wasn't her real dad, stripping - and everyone loved her for keeping it real. Then the game became venomous. Greg cheats and becomes disrespectful. I had to remember what this girl has been through and just pray that she is allowed to trust someone and get some help to deal with her distrust and pain. I suggest we all do.
I could not continue to watch the show, Nene's disgusting and ignorant behavior was too annoying for me. She obviously cannot see herself for who she really is, she was the one making the situation toxic and felt that she was brought on this earth to, as she put it call people(in this case Star) out on her behavior. Who cares Nene!!!, it's a game of wits. Nene is obviously not used to dealing with strong,educated intelligent black women like Star so she brought the trash she knows to the show.
