Casey Abrams, Jack Black's 'Fat Bottomed Girls' - best 'American Idol' finale duet ever?
In a delightful turn of events, Casey Abrams' "American Idol" duet partner was none other than Jack Black. Now, he was totally there so as to get a plug for his new movie "Kung Fu Panda II," but we also like to pretend he was there to geek out and have fun. It sure looked like he was!
The call for these two hirsute goofballs was "Fat Bottomed Girls" and it was every bit as delightful as one would imagine. There were antics, scatting and girls on bicycles! What more could you want?
We thought James Durbin and Judas Priest really blew the doors off, but Casey and Jack quickly became our favorite finale act, possibly ever. What did you think?

Spectacular so far, Marc was great and J-Lo shake it.
casey is so off key. He sucks. Go fade into oblivion.
Loved Casey and Jack Black! They are definitely birds of a musical feather!
Was is a musical masterpiece - NO, but is was fun and the scatting was wonderful! I think both of them had a blast and the audience at it up!
Way to go Casey!
Absolutely LOVED it! Birds of a feather.
I liked the "Glee" version better.
Jack Black is a frightening man. Drives me nuts.
I hate that song -- but they did it well and it looked like a lot of fun.
They probably asked Jack because Casey asked Rob Reiner way back if it was too much of a rich to try to be like him.
Anyone that didn't enjoy Jack & Casey's Fat Bottom Girls, don't understand entertainment. What I watched were 2 guys who love their craft and reveled in being there for us. All I ever ask of an entertainer. Musical perfection without passion is a waste. Music like art comes from the heart and those guys made me believe they were happy like kids on Christmas morning. As for Abrams, no one past or present is more creative than he is and I look forward to what the future brings my ears from his talent. Equally so from James Durban. Scotty won the title and undoubtedly a great career awaits him in Nashville, but its Durban and Abrams who will surprise us over time. Assuming the industry and the nay sayers don't gobble them up.
not the best vocal performance, (I was hoping to see Casey and his standup base), but their duet was very entertaining. They seemed to enjoy it and the audience enjoyed it. Jack Black should make a musical movie and cast Casey in the movie. It would be awesome!
Casey and Jack absolutely stole the show. James Durbin was amazing too, but the Casey/Jack combo was just pure entertainment and fun beyond belief. It's a keeper on the DVR. Much of the true talent in this AI was voted out far too early and kind of messed up what should have been a great season.
