'Brothers & Sisters' season finale: The musical event
Oh, don't worry. The "Brothers & Sisters" season finale on Sunday (May 8) isn't taking a page out of "Grey's Anatomy's" book. But, we hear that the episode offers up more musical magic in its wedding-centric season finale than any other episode before it, including hits from Elton John and Lady Gaga.
"Musically speaking, it's loaded," star Gilles Marini, who plays Luc, confirms to Zap2it exclusively. "'Brothers & Sisters' doesn't usually deal with music that much... pretty much the entire budget was music. It's so good. The audience is going to love it."
The show has plenty more musical surprises, the star tells us. Do you remember that song Luc and Saul (Ron Rifkin) were rehearsing a couple episodes ago? Well, it comes back, but supersized in Marini's performance of it.

"It's going to be that song, 'Baby, I Need Your Lovin','" Marini says. "But it's not just going to be singing, it's going to be a massive performance. I'm like, 'Oh my gosh. I have to bring 'Dancing With the Stars' plus I really have to sing?'"
Marini says no one, even himself, knew if he could carry a tune, but the producers and writers went ahead with the big performance scene and the actor stepped up to the plate with only two days to rehearse the musical number.
"I went all in. I was not shy by any means," he says. "I just went for it. Everyone was impressed, so hopefully it comes out good. There's no tricks. We didn't record anything anywhere. I had my little boom [microphone above] me and I was singing and performing."
Oh, and there's one more surprise in store for the fans, but it comes courtesy of the surprisingly musical Balthazar Getty, whose character, Tommy Walker, returns for the wedding.
"You will see breakdancing moves from Balthazar Getty in the season finale," Marini confirms. "That's a fact.
C'mon, is there any way we'd miss the show's season finale now?
