'Bones': Place your bets on who dies in 'The Hole in the Heart'
"Bones" has a daunting number of pins in the air as it juggles the last two episodes of Season 6.
A recurring -- or possibly regular -- cast member dies in the penultimate episode, prompting a possible hook-up between Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel). Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) are about to deliver their (potentially blind) baby. And the start-date for Season 7 is uncertain given Deschanel's real life pregnancy.
All of this is fodder for endless speculation and dissection over the coming weeks, but what we'd really like to figure out right now is... who's going to die this Thursday?
Based on promos and the episode's cast, we're most concerned for the fates of Sweets (John Francis Daley) or the not-so-pivotal Mr. Nigel-Murray (Ryan Cartwright). Each seem to stand an equal chance of being on the other end of sniper Jacob Broadsky's (Arnold Vosloo) rifle -- though based on the whimsical, bowling-themed finale, we can't imagine the Jeffersonian gang would get over Sweets so quickly.
With a potential death looming over most of the season, we've also been particularly worried for Caroline Julian (Patricia Belcher). The D.A. rallied the troops during the season premiere and has maintained a slightly buoyed presence throughout the season. She doesn't appear to be in the episode, but we're concerned all the same.
And what about Cam (Tamara Taylor)? We would be floored to see her go, but she's not one of the untouchables like Booth, Brennan, Angela and Hodgins.
So sound off, fans. Who's getting that fatal shot to the chest this Thursday -- and how do you feel about it?

I'd be fine with Cam leaving. Bring back Dr. Goodman (Jonathan Adams) from season 1!
Please, let it be sweets, please!
not that i want him to die but i think it will be sweets and it dosnt really bug me it could be cam but she has michele to tkae care of
Personally to me, Sweets never did fit in. As a Shrink, I'd like to occasionally have Stephen Frye visit again. And with Sweets gone we wouldn't have to put up with Daisy either.
Personally, I love the character of Sweets. I'd like to see more of his back story and while on occasion Daisy can be over-the-top, I find her to be endearing. She and Sweets compliment each other. I would much rather see the death be that of poor Mr. Nigel-Murray as he isn't a pivotal character.
If they take Sweets, then they better be prepared to BRING BACK ZACK!! You can not take both of them!
I think it's gonna be one of the interns. These prime time folks always tease us into thinking one of the main characters is gonna be offed. The only time I remember that really happening is when Sid actually died on KNOTS LANDING. I never watched the program again! I'd do the same thing if they killed off one of the core characters on BONES.
clarissa is so right, zack never should av left, and they cant take sweets! cam to go, although i like her (n love the new hair) it wouldnt be the same with out ne of the rest
It cant be Cam because she is a big part of the season finale?hodgens birth...while Sweets (even though Sweets ( John Francis Daley ) contract has not been renewed for season 7..i doubt its him) and Caroline are both both listed as part of the cast for the season finale...so I am betting on Mr. Nigel-Murray...
I love Sweets, so I hope it's not him. I agree that Zach never should have left. As I remember it, they had a whole story arc leading to his reveal as Gorgomon's apprentice, but the writer's strike led to a truncated season and the big rush at the end. Given how popular the character of Zach was, they should have come up with something else, as the Gorgomon story was interesting and engaging, but having Zach become his apprentice came totally out of nowhere and I don't care how they tried to justify it, it never made sense. It was a complete misfire.
