'American Idol': Scotty McCreery's 'She Believes In Me' has us believing in him
For his judges' choice song during the "American Idol" Top 3 performances, Scotty McCreery was given Kenny Rogers' 1979 hit "She Believes In Me." We thought it was one of Scotty's best performances in the competition.
That doesn't mean it was perfect. The chorus had a few high notes that Scotty couldn't quiiiite reach, though the judges commented about how great it was that he just went for it on the big stuff. But the verse and the quiet ending were really lovely.
What did you think? Did Scotty sing his way into the finals next week? We think it's been a bit of a foregone conclusion he'd be there for awhile now, but this was definitely the right song to end his night with.

He was on the money and is the only person who has never been on the botton two or three. I'm pretty sure he's going to win it.
Me and my sister really like Scotty to be the next American idol. He is a very good singer and he don't need to screamed just to get the high notes. We admired his beautiful voice.
You never know. Clay Aiken was never in the bottom 3 either.
Me and my sister wished that Scotty will be the next American idol. We admired his beautiful voice We also believed that he is not only a country music singer, He is a versatile singer

Scotty should win it. He's adorable, has tremendous sex appeal and his voice is amazing. People are attracted to him because he is just plain ol scotty. Love him!
Scotty proved that he's no Kenny Rodgers (and I'm not even a Kenny fan). He just didn't seem to grasp the meaning of the song, and so the emotions weren't there. I guess that shouldn't be a big surprise from a 17-year-old, but still. Also, those missed notes were terrible. The judges complementing him afterwards was just wrong...it's like they were told before the show to praise a different performer in each round, no matter what.
