'Amazing Race: Unfinished Business': Seven Mile Bridge sees Kisha, Jennifer Hoffman make history

amazing-race-unfinished-business-finale.jpgSixteen seasons without an all-female team winning "The Amazing Race" and now twice in two seasons it's been done, as sisters Jen and Kisha took home the million dollar prize from "Unfinished Business," just a season after Nat and Kat won Season 17. Jen and Kisha are, of course, the first team of sisters to win. This is the first leg they won the entire race.

It's apropos their victory aired on Mother's Day, as they are going to use the money to help their mom out. But let's see how we got there ...

The final 3 came down to sisters Jen/Kisha, Globetrotters Flight Time and Big Easy and father/daughter Gary and Mallory. The fourth-place team was Justin and Zev, who chose poorly on the Detour in Brazil and just couldn't make up the time.

The race for the finish line took place in Miami, where Gary and Mallory had their hopes dashed by a terrible cab driver. Oof, talk about deja vu, since they spent several hours lost in Oman on their first time around and were eliminated. The first Road Block sent the teams to a marina, where the team members were behind the controls of a giant forklift and to move boats around the docks.

The Globetrotters left the docks in first place and were sent to Jules' Undersea Lodge with Jen/Kisha right on their heels for the second Road Block, which involved swimming through an underwater mermaid show in a personal submarine looking in treasure chests for the next clue.

Gary and Mallory finally did the dry-dock Road Block and appeared to make up time, but that may have just been the editing. The Globetrotters stayed in first place after the mermaid Rock Block and headed for Big Pine Key, but the girls overtook them on the way there.

At the key, the teams have to walk across a shallow part of the ocean to Horseshoe Island for their next clue.Back on the mainland, they take a speed boat to Galway Bay Trailer Park for the Detour. It looks like perhaps Gary and Mallory are catching up, but it's hard to tell.

At the trailer park, the teams have to hook up a trailer to the utilities and then make their living space an exact match of a brochure picture. A decent storm comes through and starts blowing Jen/Kisha and Globetrotters' stuff around, making it quite difficult to set up the accessories.

It turns out Gary and Mallory have caught up a bit because they run into the other two teams still working when they arrive. The girls finish up and are sent to Old Seven Mile Bridge and the finish line. The Globetrotters get theirs a few minutes later, while Gary and Mallory are still working hard and get their clue in what seems like quick time, but is probably just the editing.

At the Seven Mile Bridge, Jen/Kisha and the Globetrotters are in a bike race to the finish line. Kisha is really struggling with the wind, but the Globetrotters kinda give up because they don't think they can catch the girls.

So Jen and Kisha won "The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business," followed by the Globetrotters and Gary/Mallory. The Trotters clip package was set to "Sweet Georgia Brown" (naturally) and Gary is one of the oldest people to finish the race.

Jen And Kesha should be disqualified. They did not ride the bike all the way. At one point they showed one of the bikes being pushed while walking on the side of the Bike. They should hve been penalized.

yet another disappointing end to what had been a pretty decent season. I didn't like either of the final two teams. I would have been okay if Gary and Mallory had won. At least the Globetrotters didn't and hopefully that's the last we'll ever see of them.

They shouldn't have been penalized! None of the teams rode it all the way.

Paulene, After watching the show, I was under the impression that they could use the bikes, run, walk or jog. It didnt matter as long as they did not use any other means of transport. It was never stated that they had to ride the bikes the entire length.

Ugh. The only team of the last 4 I didn't want to win. I dunno why I get my hopes up that a team I like is ever going to win.

So happy the sisters won; a great example that the only leg that really counts is the final one (although the assorted prizes along the way would be nice...but not as nice as a million bucks).

So disappointed Zev & Justin weren't in the final 3. I wanted them to win. At least the Globetrotters didn't win. I didn't mind them as a team until the chocolate gnome incident.

I was disappointed that Zev and Justin didn't make it to the final 3, too. I was rooting for them, and when they were eliminated I was ok with any of the remaining teams winning -- didn't like one more than another.

I thought the waxing task was kind of lame -- there was no skill, no way for one team to get ahead of another by their prowess.

Congrats to Jen & Kisha. I didn't care for them in their original season, but was impressed by their tenacity and levelheadedness this time around. They seemed to learn from some of their previous mistakes, and Jen even said that she'd taken swimming lessons.

Hate the fact that a team is knocked out of the running by a lousy cab driver. Hate it. I think Gary & Mallory did make up time on the others because they didn't see the leading teams at the mermaid pool, which seemed to take at least a half hour, but did catch up to them at the trailer park. If there had been a typical puzzle/mental task related to the race as the final challenge before the finish, I think those two might have overtaken one of the other teams.

YAY! So proud of Jen/Kisha! They've achieved legendary goddess status with that win being only 1 of 6 female teams to ever make the finals! Despite never winning a 1st place this season, they also were the most consistent team and were never last or 2nd to last in any single leg which none of the other teams can boast. They were definitely 1 of the most deserving teams coming into the season to have a 2nd chance after getting robbed in China by a u-turn AND the unfortunate pee break LOL.
