ABC cancels 'V,' 'Brothers & Sisters' and more

ABC has decided to cancel "V," "Brothers & Sisters" and rookie series "No Ordinary Family," "Off the Map," "Detroit 187" and "Mr. Sunshine."

The announcement came just after Deadline reported the network was attempting to bring back "Brothers & Sisters" for a sixth and final season.

ABC also announced they're picking up drama pilots "Good Christian Belles," "Pan Am," "Charlie's Angels," "Once Upon a Time," "Revenge," "Scandal" and "The River" to series. Comedies "Apt. 23" and Tim Allen's "Last Man Standing" were also picked up.

Update: ABC just announced freshman comedy "Better With You" has also been canceled. "Happy Endings" was renewed for a second season.

I love Brothers and Sisters - I am really mad at ABC - I thought this would happen but it still makes me angry.

I already see The River getting the ax very early on. The premise is horrid and the fact that it's going to be filmed like Paranormal Activity and Blair Witch will turn many people off.

BETTER WITH YOU was awesome! It was so funny!!!!! I'm glad Happy Endings got renewed...but I would have been happier if Better With You would have been renewed instead

Better With You was a very funny and cleverly written show. I'm very disappointed ABC didn't give it a chance.

What Idiots!! No need to Cancel "Brothers and Sisters"!! Yet they pic up a rehash of Charlie's Angels?? Didn't they learn anything from NBC not picking up "Wonder woman"?

I'm very bummed about V. Hopefully, ABC will learn that long hiatuses after four episodes is bad news to keeping strong ratings. I was hoping that V would be a short midseason filler.

Why watch any of these new shows that got picked up for the fall? The networks are just going to cancel them anyway after viewers are already hooked!!! The networks just disappoints viewers anyway, so why continue to support them!!!!!!
