Ellen Degenerous is way better than anyone on the noisy "View" cast but Regis and kelly deserve a win. Ellen should be on that list by far. Canceling AMC and OLTL for a reality show because it's cheaper is wrong on so many levels. Most of my favorite shows are on ABC, but with this reckless decision, once these soaps go off the air, ABC will be blocked in my house on all TV's. Bad decision. Don't we have enough junk on tv already!!! Geez, come on ABC and Disney. Disgusted!!!!! :(
Katherine Kelly Lang robbed yet again.
Ditto, Sue. And I know there's not a lot to choose from these days, but no way AMC deserved a Best Drama nom.
Go GH!!!!!
I would like to comment on the remarkable lack of proof reading on Zap2it. You would think that getting someones name correct would be important to a worldwide publication,
Britteny Allen plays Marissa Chandler not Maisa Chandler.
Yay for GH!! But I am disappointed that neither steve burton (jason) or anthony geary (luke) were nominated. They both had amazing performances this year with the jake story line.
And I am with u on that comment, darrpub. Kristina's (played by lexi ainsworth) last name is davis not david.
As a 41 year viewer of AMC and OLTL I am very disappointed at hearing of their cancellation, along with my friend and my 76 year old mother who has been watching Erica, (Susan Lucci) and Vicki (Erick Slezak) for over 40 years. Who decides what us boomers should be watching? Not everyone enjoys watching Snookie and Jersey Shore making millions and NOT ACTING. IS THEIR NO LOYALTY TO ACTRESSES LIKE SUSAN AND ERICA SLEZAK THAT HAVE TO REHEARSE LINES EVERYDAY, AND NOT LIKE SNOOKI WHO IS NOT EVEN REALLY ITALIAN FIGHTING ON TV?
I think I can speak for my whole group of contemporaries and my own mother that we will BOYCOTT DISNET ABC CHANNEL, SO MUCH FOR YOU SAVING MONEY, YOU WILL LOSE MORE VIEWERS.
TRAVESTY! YOU ARE ENCOURAGING YOUNG TO LOOK UP TO PEOPLE WHO CAN EVEN TALK PROPER ENGLISH AND MORE VIOLENCE ON TV.
AND WE DO NOT NEED ANY MORE LIFESTYLE PROGRAMS ON TV.
ISNT THAT WHY WE PAY FOR CABLE?
WELL I DONT ASSUME FOR OTHERS, BUT FOR ME, I ENJOYED DAYTIME DRAMA WITH REAL ACTORS, AND HOW CAN YOU WATCH SUSAN LUCCI, THE ONLY ORGINAL STAR OF THE SHOW WALK OFF AND CRY, TERRIBLE.
NO LOYALTY TO YOUR STARS, AND FANS.
JUST THE BOTTOM LINE MONEY.
IS THE NIELSEN RATINGS OR WHO'S.
MAYBE WE SHOULD ALL WRITE TO OPRAH, SINCE HER NETWORK IS NOT DOING WELL, AND SEE IF SHE WILL PICK UP THESE TWO 40 YEAR OLD DRAMAS, WITH "REAL ACTORS"
SINCE WHEN DO REALITY STARS DICTATE WHAT PEOPLE OF THE MASSES WHAT TO SEE ON THE TELEVISION.
I WANT TO SEE THE FIGURES.
NO ONE ASKED ME AND MY FRIENDS.
WE WATCH AND BUY THE PRODUCTS WE SEE ON THESE SHOWS EVERYDAY.
AND WHEN WE MISS , WE WATCH SOAPNET.
I AM ASKING TO RECONSIDER.
I AM DEVASTED IN WHAT IS HAPPENING IN OUR TV DECISIONS, THAT WE AS BABY BOOMERS, I THOUGHT MADE UP THE MAJORITY ARE NOT EVEN ASKED?
YOU ARE MAKING A HUGE MISTAKE, TRY AND RECONSIDER.
THIS IS BACK TO MY GREAT GRANDMOTHERS TIME.
REALITY SHOWS WILL COME AND GO.
IMAGINE HOW THE ACTORS FEEL THAT YOU CHOSE A LIFESTYLE PROGRAM AND OVER 41 YEARS OF LEARNING DIAGOLUE EVERYDAY OF THEIR LIFE AND THEN YOU MOVE AMC TO ca. They are all handing it all with such grace, but I GURANTEE YOU, YOU HAVE A LOST MANY MANY VIEWERS IF YOU CANCEL THESE TWO SHOWS.
Hey, Daniel Goddard NOT nominated at all...give your heads a shake!
