'Wonder Woman': Less crying, more fighting in revised script
The version of the "Wonder Woman" pilot script that ended up being filmed may be somewhat different than the version that made the rounds online a couple months ago.And that, based on the reviews of the earlier script, is likely a good thing.
According to io9, which got its hands on some revisions to David E. Kelley's pilot script, the show made several changes to drive home the point that Diana/Wonder Woman (Adrianne Palicki) is a formidable heroine. There are at least two scenes in which she grabs a guy by the throat and lifts him off the ground, the site notes, and a climactic fight scene is much more detailed.
One of the biggest gripes about the earlier draft that was leaked online was that Diana, who's presented as a business tycoon as well as a superhero, still has pajama parties where she eats ice cream and complains about boys and dances around to Beyonce's "Single Ladies." It's unclear whether those scenes are still in the pilot.
The revisions also include a little more about what motivates Wonder Woman's quest for justice and more back story about her relationship with Steve Trevor (Justin Bruening), including a flashback to Diana saving Steve after his plane crashes on Paradise Island.
Whether the changes help is something we'll begin to find out in a few weeks. NBC announces its lineup for the 2011-12 season on May 16.

Seems like Nikita with a sexy custom.
rooting for this one !! :D
A script changes between the time it is written, and when it is filmed? The devil you say!
That's wonderful good news regarding the Wonder Woman pilot but we'll wait and see if the reboot series gets pickup for the Fall TV season on May 16.
Still sounds like a hot mess all around.
Wonderful good news regarding the Wonder Woman pilot. Can't wait when NBC gets pickup for the reboot this Fall when the TV upfronts begins in a few weeks.
I still think they need to re-write the costume again. The leggings and the cheap looking Halloween costume top need to go. The tiara looks cheap too. The original WW 1970's TV series costume was far greater. They also need to bring Lynda Carter in as The Queen/WW's mother for a recurring role. If you are going to remake a show, you need to stick with the original idea with current changes/advancements involving every day life incorporated into the series.
@Max I couldn't have said it better. Why do they want to do remakes and change all the things that made the originals great. I know that things have to be updated or tweaked, but why take all of the good things out? Just like the original Bionic Woman it had it's over the top moments. That was one of the things that made it fun to watch. Why does everything have to be so dark and realistic all the time? I live reality everyday. I want to escape sometimes.
Suggestions: The action should be as hard as the fights posted in YOUTUBE: 'Wonder Woman Vs Deimos' and 'Wonder Woman Vs Furies'. This will make the TV series interesting! And please no drama like she's torn bet becoming a superhero and an ordinary human being. Make this series action packed!!! Don't take away the spin. Make her wear short shorts in some episodes, make cheetah, if she will be introduced here, a formidable opponent and make a finale like an end of the world battle similar to Wonder Woman Animated Movie...a fight with Ares and the demons will be really good! Diana Princess competing against Artemis for the title Wonder Woman will also be good. Good Luck! As a kid I always loved watching the old TV series of Lynda Carter.
I am now in my 40's and for two decades I have been waiting for the TV industry to recreate Wonder Woman TV series or make a WW movie. I am happy they are finally doing this! By the way, music is also impt, she needs a signature music to be played during her fight scenes.
