'United States of Tara' preview: Tara declares a 'Tar-ocracy'
Tara (played by Toni Collette) has decided that after recent events with her sister, it's time to take control of the "United States of Tara."
In Monday's (April 18) episode, Tara calls a meeting of the minds and declares a "Tar-ocracy." She attempts to do something she has never done before and basically work with the alters on when they can come out to play. Meanwhile, she'll need to earn Charmaine's (Rosemarie DeWitt) trust back, since she doesn't feel her baby is safe around Tara's unpredictable personalities.
At the same time, Dr. Hattaras (guest star Eddie Izzard) isn't giving her any slack on her studies, but he becomes fascinated with the new order she has created with the alters. Also, Tara's kids, Kate (Brie Larson) and Marshall (Keir Gilchrist) explore some creative new options.
