TV Ratings: Royal Wedding coverage wins for CBS, 'Friday Night Lights' slips
Fast National ratings for Friday, April 29, 2011CBS was on top as usual and can send Prince William and Kate Middleton a nice wedding gift as a thank you. The Eye's coverage of the Royal Wedding (8.6 million viewers) plus new episodes of "CSI: NY" and "Blue Bloods" helped them win the night." "Friday Night Lights"' viewership was down almost 800,000 from last week, while "Fringe" held steady with 3.5 million viewers.
CBS averaged 9 9.1 million viewers and a 4.0 rating/7 share in households to win the night. ABC was next with 5.9 million, 4.0/7, following by NBC at 4.2 million, 2.7/5. FOX was fourth at 3.2 million, 2.1/4 and the CW put up a solid 1.9 million, 1.2/2.
In the 18-49 demo, CBS lead the pack with a 1.7. ABC came in second with a 1.4 followed closely by FOX with a 1.3. NBC earned a 1.0 and The CW was at 0.8.
