TV Ratings: 'American Idol' down but still on top, 'Bones' spin-off pilot makes solid debut
Fast National ratings for Thursday, April 21, 2011A block of reruns on CBS helped FOX maintain dominance over Thursday night in average viewers and adults 18-49 -- despite a slight audience drop for the "American Idol" results show.
Also worth noting: the special backdoor pilot episode of "Bones." The potential spin-off dipped slightly in its second half hour, but still managed to be the top performing scripted series of the night.
FOX averaged 15.4 million viewers and a 8.9 rating/15 share in households, with CBS in second (8.5 million viewers, 5.4/9). NBC (4.6 million, 2.8/5) topped ABC's evening of reruns (3.8 million, 2.4/4), with the networks placing in third and fourth, respectively. The CW was down a bit from the previous week, with 2.3 million people and a 1.5/2.
FOX also won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 4.4 rating, besting NBC (2.1), CBS (1.8), ABC 1.1) and the CW (0.9).

Actually The Office topped the 9pm hour with a 3.3 A18-49 rating
Why is Rules of Engagement STILL on the air? Paul Reiser Show..i`ll give ya the snappy...SEE YA...
Cuz it's funny!
I enjoy Rules Of Engangement but I wouldn't have any heartburn if the second couple was reduced out of the cast. Would The Paul Reiser Show have had a better premiere if it originally switched places with P&R? It seems that the 9:30pm slot would be the better slot to launch new shows with.
10 of 11 people watching tv at 8 didn't watch the increasingly-genius Community. This country has a lot of people who can't get a comedy unless an audience is telling them when to laugh.
Rupert, COMMUNITY is stupid, it should get CANCELLED!
then Rupert you need to move to another country! TOOL!
Community is hilarious, you just have to have a sense of humor to get it. Although it is a tough decision to watch that or Big Bang. If not for DVR, I would probably not watch Community. Anyone who prefers American Idol Results over any of the other shows is a shallow moron. I just don't understand the draw. Really is for the ignorant folks, which apparenlty there are a lot of.
Folks, TheFutoncritic.com just reported that The Paul Reiser Show is now toast...just got canceled this afternoon after another horrific performance last night. This was a bad concept of a show to begin with but to lose even more people one week after its premiere episode made its case for ouster. Marriage Ref will be next to go after its summer run.
Tampon watches the Paul Rauser Show , lol
