Tina Fey returns to host 'SNL'; Kristin Chenoweth guest judges on 'CMT's Next Superstar'

In Thursday's (April 7) edition of TV Snacks, we have some momentous returns and departures plus NBC gives us something that sort of feels like both.
"30 Rock" star Tina Fey is making plans, yo. She just announced she's preggers with her second baby and now we learn she's going back to the homeland. She'll be hosting "Saturday Night Live" on May 7. This will be her third time doing so officially since hosting in April of last year. [TVLine]
Our favorite singer/actress/pixie, Kristin Chenoweth, will be guest judging on the premiere of "CMT's Next Superstar" on Friday, April 8 at 9 p.m. ET. In the premiere, the contenders will have to adapt a song from another genre and make it country. [CMT]
Looks like there may be one new eligible bachelor in "Cougar Town." Collette Wolf, who plays Travis' (Dan Byrd) girlfriend, has just been cast in the NBC comedy pilot, "Lovelines." She plays the lead role of Holly who's dealing with the travails of her new marriage. [TVLine]
NBC isn't leaving "Chase" fans high and dry - too much. Although it's not officially canceled, the network has scheduled the five remaining episodes of the series for Saturdays starting April 23 at 8 p.m. ET. [TVGuide]
Mary McDonnell will be back on "The Closer" this summer -- and how. She's been upgraded to a series regular on TNT's series. There's no word yet on whether she'll be involved in the planned spinoff of the series, but that certainly seems like a possibility. [TVLine]

Can't wait to see whether Tina Fey can topple Betty White from last year's SNL Mother's Day event.
