'The Vampire Diaries': What are Klaus's 'shocking' motives?
With just over 24 hours to go before we finally (finally, finally) get to see a new episode of "The Vampire Diaries," we're only getting more anxious. The final six episodes are undoubtedly the Klaus chapter -- meaning we're about to tangle with the oldest, most dangerous vampire we've met yet (Joseph Morgan).
When Katherine first arrived in Mystic Falls, we thought she was about as bad as can be. Killing people in full view at parties, compelling Aunt Jenna to nearly gut herself, inciting the fight that turned Tyler into a werewolf -- Katherine is a force to be reckoned with.
And she's terrified of Klaus, and has been for over five centuries.
We're dying to see how Klaus compares to his "foot soldier" Elijah -- and, for that matter, to Damon. Is he the sort to drop witty one-liners, or is this one of those "quiet water runs deep" situations? Is he as dastardly as Rose told us, or will he be willing to negotiate?
Most importantly, just how much bloodshed will he cause before the season is through?
The first time we meet Klaus will be in the April 21 episode, during a flashback to 1491. But in that same episode, back in the present day, Elena will make a shocking discovery about Klaus's motives.
It appears there may be a twist in store for us when it comes to Klaus's planned sacrifice ritual.
Let's discuss. Weigh in below in the comments section and let us know what you expect and hope we'll see from Klaus.
Oh... and check out the pictures below, of Klaus with Katherine and Elijah in 1491. He may be about to wreak havoc on everything Elena knows and loves, but at least he'll look good doing it.

I think the shocking motive is he wants the werewolves to break the curse so that all vampires will die and Klaus will be the oldest and most powerful vamp, with no competition.
I think Klaus' motives is to bring back the original Petrova. I mean.. She's a reincarnation and so maybe he will expel Elena's spirit and bring back the original. In The Last Dance, we see Klaus(in Alaric's body) look at Elena like he's completely in love with her.. Like an obsession. He didn't look at her like he wanted to kill her. Well that's my opinion anyway.
