The Masters 2011 TV schedule: Coverage unlike any other

tiger-woods-masters-2010-getty.jpgSpring has sprung and with the changing of the seasons comes the annual time of year where millions of people watch men hit a ball around a fancy country club accompanied by the dulcet tones of Jim Nantz.

The 2010 Masters was the big draw because it was the first major golf tournament Tiger Woods participated in since the scandal of his many mistresses broke in late 2009. This year, Woods should still be a ratings draw, though more because he hasn't put together a winning tournament run in anything since the scandal. The highest he has finished is tied for 4th (2010 Masters and U.S. Open).

If you're wanting to miss not even a minute of the action, ESPN and CBS have got you covered. The broadcast schedule is as follows:

ESPN has missed the boat again. This might be the best Masters ever. Their coverage schedule for opening day is pitiful.

I am sick of all the lip service being provided on the golf channel re the 2011 masters tournament. I have been watching of and on all day 4-7-11 to see competive golf but all I have seen is a lot of nothing. I'm done with the golf channel.

I've canceled and rescheduled my last 4 days of this week to watch the Masters tournament. Now, watching the Golf Channel all I see is a lot of big time and big salaried lip service specialist that are wasting my time 7 hours each day (golf channel 8 am to 3 pm). These specialist mostly like to talk about tiger woods, who, is not even in the game so far. I like to see the leaders and some real live golf, I like to watch and see my favorites, not theirs. I want to see live golf being played, if these guys want to talk the whole time the Masters is being played, let them have a different talk show. I'm finished with the Golf channel. If you want to see live golf, watch ESPN (3 pm to 730 pm. Their coverage is excellent and complete.
Thanks for letting me air my thoughts, by the way, I know lots of golfers and their feelings are the same.

Watching cbs coverage and it is sickening and frustrating as apparently tiger woods is the only one playing who knew!!!!!!

Looking forward to reading more. Great blog article. Thanks Again.
