'Supernatural' raises the Titanic on the 99th anniversary of the sinking
Die-hard "Supernatural" fans, who closely follow news from the set, may have noticed that the airing order of upcoming episodes has changed. The next new episode, airing April 15, is now "My Heart Will Go On."The cleverly titled episode explores a world in which the Titanic never sank. In an interesting twist that may or may not be coincidental, the episode airs on the 99th anniversary of the Titanic tragedy. The ship struck an iceberg at 11:40 p.m. the night of April 14, 1912, and sank about three hours later, at 2:20 a.m. on April 15.
"Balthazar didn't like the movie," executive producer Sera Gamble told us at PaleyFest's event honoring "Supernatural. "So he decided to go back in time, and he un-sunk the ship. We have all these explanations as to how that could have happened. There were a lot of mental knots that we had to untangle to figure that episode out but it's a really cool one. It's kind of a twilight zone episode."
As it turns out, the Titanic's sinking had a bit of a butterfly effect on the Winchesters' lives. In the world without the sinking, Ellen (returning favorite Samantha Ferris) and Bobby (Jim Beaver) are married.
Balthazar's meddling upsets Fate (Katie Walder), so she goes about setting things right -- she's also pretty pissed at the Winchesters, according to Castiel, and their only hope may be to kill her.

Balthazar says "There are no more rules" but Fate disagrees.
The more and more I read about this episode, the more and more I want to see it! It sounds smashing! I love "Supernatural" and its amazing scripts! We need a season 7!!
With Smallville ending, this will be my show from now on, have all the dvds and am catching up. Alternate realities rock.
I can't really be the only person who finds this episode and the fact that it's now airing on the anniversary of the horrific Titanic tragedy to be extremely offensive. Why not do a funny episode about bringing back the 9/11 survivors? There are still people around who think that making money off tragedy is pretty classless.
