Miranda Lambert brings her life to TV with ABC Family
Country-music star Miranda Lambert's life is getting the TV-series treatment, but not in the way you might think.ABC Family has started developing a show based on Lambert's childhood in Texas, but it's not about music (at least not primarily). In fact, it's a private-detective show, Deadline reports.
Here's the deal: When Lambert was growing up in Lindale, Texas, a small town east of Dallas, her mother and father, a retired police officer, went into business as private investigators. The show will take the family's life and spin from it what's being described as "'Hart to Hart' with a family," with the fictional Lambert kids helping their parents solve cases.
Or, if you'd rather, it could be a nuclear-family, Southern version of "Veronica Mars."
Scott Kaufer, a veteran of "Memphis Beat," "Boston Legal" and "The Chris Isaak Show," will write a pilot script and executive produce the project. Lambert will also be an exec producer, along with her mom, Bev, her manager, Marion Kraft, and Aaron Kaplan.
