'Leverage' Season 4: Aldis Hodge teases Danny Glover guest appearance, Parker's 'Jungle Fever'

aldis-hodge-320.jpgTNT's "Leverage" won't return until summer, but the cast and crew is currently hard at work filming the fourth season.

Most notably, Danny Glover will join the cast for the fifth episode as a war vet seeking assistance with a certain piece of artwork. Zap2it spoke with Aldis Hodge, who gushed about the iconic actor and tells us a little bit about what to expect from his storyline.

"He's one of our victims. His story involves a particular piece of art and he's narrating to us his whole story -- how it culminated and why he's looking for this piece of art," Hodge explains. "For those who know the show they might be able to figure it out."

The actor also teases a development in the relationship between his character, Alec Hardison, and Parker, played by Beth Riesgraf.

"For the fans that want to know about Hardison and Parker, there may be something going on there," he hints. "Maybe a little jungle fever. Ya'll just gotta watch and see though!"

Watch more from our interview below, including what Hodge has to say about working with LeBron James.

'leverage' and 'damages' are the best cable shows on tv. i wish 'leverage' was recognized more.

I guess Danny Glover's hard for work these days

I would disagree. Damages is way, way better quality than Leverage. You can't even compare. Leverage doesn't care about character and relationship continuity at all. Something happens in a relationship or with a character and the next episodes they act like nothing happened. It's a showrunner's job to make all the episodes in a season consistent regarding characters or relationships. In this show, it seems every writer does what they want and don't care what the other writer has written in a previous episode, maybe even season. And it's the same formula in every episode and plot is all that's important. Not to mention that everything is a joke in Leverage, makes the storyline of helping people in need less credible.

There's a major difference and award nominations prove it. Leverage has none, or none of the important ones while Damages has been nominated for Golden Globes and Emmys and has even won a few.

Leverage concentrates more on the cases and the whole team work than on specifc relationships. But I don't agree that they forget about their interactions, each of the interactions has its uniqueness and gets a mention every now and again.

And just because they didn't get a nomination for an Emmy or GG...pffft Anna Paquin got a GG for her mediocre performance on TB, those awards don't only reward quality.

Have to say it's kind of racist for him to use the term "jungle fever" to describe the developing Parker/Hardison ship. It's rather doubtful that Beth Riesgraf could've gotten away with saying the same thing.
