FOX pulls hurricane-centric 'Family Guy' 'American Dad' 'Cleveland Show' crossover

family-guy-hurricane.jpgThis Sunday, FOX planned to air a highly anticipated crossover of their animated comedies "Family Guy," "American Dad," and "The Cleveland Show." The event, dubbed "Animation Domination" has been widely promoted, but has been canceled, as first reported by the Hollywood Reporter.

In the crossover, the characters of all three shows were impacted by a hurricane. FOX decided that the content wasn't appropriate given the deadly storms that have led to lost lives and homes in the southern U.S. this week. Over 300 people have been confirmed dead due to tornado touchdowns.

Seth MacFarlane, the creator of the shows, was consulted about their decision to hold off. The episodes were written well over a year ago. Repeats will air in their stead; there is no word yet on whether the episodes will be aired at a later date or included on DVD releases.

Probably a good call, but they should still air them eventually. Mind you around this time hurricane season really kicks in, so maybe they'll be able to show this in the late fall?

The episodes have been confirmed to air at some point late next season.

"Animation Domination" is what they've always called their block on Sundays...

Animation Domination is their cartoon Sunday block, not just this cancelled event.

Will these episodes air in canada as they follow the us schedule, anybody know?

FOX opting not to air something out of empathy with people? Wow. Now if only they could do that with everything on their fake news channel...

I can't get enough of these shows, besides HBO TV series True Blood, Treme, and Boardwalk Empire there is nothing better to watch then animation domination. DISH Online I can go and watch previous episodes of Family Guy, Cleveland Show, and Simpsons at any time. DISH customers have access to all of there channels on line and DVR content. I talked to a co-worker last night at DISH and she told me that DISH Network will be the first to air the Pacquiao and Mosley fight online! Come and check this out www.dishonline.com.
