'Dancing With the Stars': Karina Smirnoff falls, Ralph Macchio helps her up

GoogleAnother "Dancing With the Stars" pro suffered a mishap Monday night, but like Maksim Chmerkovskiy a few weeks ago, Karina Smirnoff recovered to help her partner Ralph Macchio earn a solid score.
Smirnoff tripped over the tail of Macchio's coat about 30 seconds into their paso doble Monday (April 25), and it appeared to disorient her for several seconds after that. Once she and Macchio got back on the same page, though, the rest of their dance -- including a wax-on, wax-off hand movement toward the end -- was pretty spot-on.
The judges praised the comeback and awarded Ralph and Karina a 24 (8s across the board). We can't help but think it would have been a couple points higher without the stumble, but they at least stayed out of last place.

i thought the way Ralph pulled her up was amazing...and even kinda sexy.
I think it's funny Karina fell since she's made fun of Kirstie's fall on Ellen's show (you reap what you sow). I also think she's the worst dancer on the show and wish she wasn't part of the cast because she doesn't show a good sportsman like attitude when other's score better than her (just look at the expression on her face). She's not the best looking female dancer on the show either. I always like seeing her get booted off fairly quickly each season. Go Mak's & Kirstie!!
That was a terrific recovery! I think Ralph did a superb job. I think he feels a little uncomfortable doing the 'sexy' thing--very devoted to his wife, but he pulled it off this week!
Kudos to Ralph Macchio. He's wonderful to watch. I'm glad he's doing so well.
After seeing Karina's Playboy pics this weekend, she gets a pass this week and 1 more to use in the future...

I wanted to give my finale thoughts as a casual watcher and on some things I've noticed previously. Ralph Macchio got the highest score on the first episode. He may have that 80's movie vote the same as Jennifer had on the previous cast and won. Chelsea will make the finale FOR SURE. She's a previous Disney star. I know that two Disney stars made the finale previously. She also has a promo on the Disney channel. The judges have been scoring Kirstie well. She fell and STILL got a good score and the next week her shoe came off and still a good score. Barbara Walters had comments about the GOOD score the judges gave after she FELL. With the judges scores she could be the 3rd finalist. My prediction for the finale is Ralph, Chelsea and Kirstie.
GET RID OF HINES!!! WHAT is wrong with everyone!!! Look at his body..He NEVER DANCES, or bends, or shakes...he just "sways back and forth" and gives that "gummy" smile of his (THAT is what keeps him there)! WATCH CAREFULLY if he makes it to next week. Vote on dance effort!!! Boy, does that Ralph try really hard!! Any 49-year-olds want to ATTEMPT to do what he does?...thought so. Ralph CONSISTENTLY TRIES, yet those UNPROFESSIONAL judges continue to UNDERSCORE AND UNDERRATE HIM -- SHAME ON YOU!!! I AM GOING TO TELL YOUR MOTHER! Ralph and Karina ALL THE WAY!!!! YOU'VEEEEE got to be kidding on the finalist! LOL...GO RALPH!!!
