'Bones': Oh what a tangled web we weave
Though it took a moment to get used to disarming lack of Geoff Stultz in "Bones," we quickly settled into what looks to be the last normal procedural-type outing of the season.
The final three episodes will see Brennan (Emily Deschanel) confronting ghosts from the past, Booth (David Boreanaz) chasing down the sniper and the two of the bowling -- and possibly hooking up.
But for now there's just a dead dude in a dramatically large planter, whose demise prompts the Jeffersonian crew to briefly take up radical honesty. (Ahem, Brennan's been accidentally doing that for years.)

- When a body turns up in the garden of a newly built community center, the gang quickly discover the victim was brutally beaten to death. But don't feel to sympathetic. He was a rich jerk with bad taste in home decor.
- After watching a video of one of his coworkers smacking him upside the head with an advertising award, Booth and Brennan learn that he was just newly rude -- on account of his "radical honesty."
- We're not sure if we should be recapping the absurd Toyota plug, but we'll at least acknowledge that the writers didn't even try to hide this one. Emily Deschanel might have looked directly into the camera and said, "You see this car? It paid for part of the episode. Thanks, car!"
- At a meeting of the radical honesty society, we meet an obnoxious lawyer and, more importantly, a clown. Booth hates clowns (and the confines of underwear, apparently).
- The clown is interrogated by Sweets (John Francis Daley) for being with the victim the night of his murder, but he has the most hilarious alibi ever:
Sweets: "What did you do after the game?"
Creepy clown: "I had sex with a hooker."

- Following the particularly hilarious clue of a partially-digested piece of fancy truffle pizza, the victim's son leads to one of the radically honest (and radically unfaithful!) ladies, who herself leads back to the creepy lawyer from the group. Turns out he was caught in a lie. Irony!
For the shippers:
- With Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne ) looking likely to bring baby Hodgela into the world any day now, they took center stage in the B-story. She's feeling nervous about the possibly blindness-gene carrying baby, and he's way too optimistic. Nothing a little radical honesty can't fix.
- Brennan grapples with the realization that even those closet to her often lie, to spare her feelings and whatnot, and Booth promises he'll admit to a lie he's told her when they catch the killer. Oh really?
- Wendell Bray (Michael Grant Terry), the oft forgotten rotating squint, is back -- and complaining about how little money he has. He adopts radical honesty in an attempt to get Cam (Tamara Taylor) to give him extra hours in the lab and prompts the longtime-coming comment from Hodgins that, when he was dating Angela, he planned his death in great detail.
- Cam hands over the extra hours to Wendell, but only after he makes a case for how the others -- like Daisy (Carla Gallo), who we're pretty sure hasn't been on the show since late 2010.
- After the killer is nabbed, Booth confesses to Brennan... how much it meant to him that she was there when he broke up with Hannah. Come on, Booth.

The last two weeks of
Bones had a 20% lose
of viewership.
I wonder if people are
just getting bored with
the plots or lack of.
The Finder was a joke and
needs to be put on the
back burner.
HH needs to focus on
saving Bones.
I was hoping "Farts the Clown" was the killer, I didn't know who dun it until the end. Great episode!
