'Bob's Burgers' cooks up a second season on FOX

FOX's Sunday animation lineup looks like it will return intact next season, thanks to the network's pickup of "Bob's Burgers" for a second season.The newest member of the 'toon lineup got its Season 2 renewal on Thursday (April 7). It had been considered on the bubble for renewal (and was not faring well among Zap2it readers in our bubble-show poll), but FOX Entertainment president Kevin Reilly removed any suspense with the pickup.
"'Bob's Burgers' has proved to be a perfect neighbor to our slate of fan-favorite animated families this year," Reilly says. "The series has found its own really unique, irreverent voice and is doing consistent business for us on Sundays, so we're excited to serve up another season to the fans."
The show was created by "Home Movies" mastermind Loren Bouchard, who executive produces with "King of the Hill" veteran Jim Dauterive. It premiered in January and has averaged about 5.2 million viewers per week, along with a 2.5 rating among adults 18-49.

Wow, Fox is really lowering the bar over in the animated sitcom department. This show isn't NEARLY up to the level of The Simpsons or Family Guy.
ANYTHING'S better than Family Guy, and Bob's Burgers, while uneven, is often hilarious. ANUSES!
Bob's Burgers cannot hold a candle to any of the other cartoons on television. Should've been cancelled!!!

I m so happy to hear this, even tho its not simpsons or family guy, its a fresh show, with new crazy characters that make me laugh....lets give it a chance....remember when the simpsons just started...it wasnt as good as it is now, so I say, lets give Bob Burgers a chance and im sure its gonna be good!!!!...cant wait for season 2!!
I'm so happy that I can look forward to another season of BB's. I got a Sling Adapter from my job at DISH Network and use it to relay my TV programming onto my Smartphone so I don't miss my Sunday lineup. It took a few episodes but I've grown fond of the characters, especially Bob's charismatic children. Thank you, Fox!
I'm glad it got renewed, otherwise we probably would have ended up with the Quagmire show, or some other meaningless tangent of Family Guy.
Look at the first season of the Simpsons or even your beloved Family Guy and tell me Bob's Burgers isn't better. Like with any show, she first season is all about character development.
So umm... where is our PROMISED season 2?
I'm hungry for some burgers. "Never Been Feta" Burger, "I've Created a Muenster" Burger, "The Child Molester" Burger" (Comes with Candy - Louise's idea), "The Tunami" "Mission A-Corn-Plished" Burger, "Rest in Peas" and so many other wonderful burger flavors and sides. Mmmm....
I've got to have my witty, intelligent, manipulative, Louise, her zombie loving, boy crazy, adolescent sister Tina. And what about Linda, the over zealous wife who gets carried away with everything.
Serve us up another episode, for no other flavor best compliments the Animation Domination line-up.
