'American Idol': Rihanna performs 'California King Bed'
In a perfect blend of ballad and a little rock n' roll, Rihanna performed her new single "California King Bed" on "American Idol's" Apr. 14 results show.
Sporting a gorgeous dusty rose-colored gown and red curled hair, Rihanna took the stage surrounded by smoke and back-up dancers all dressed in white. We're not sure what the dance the back-up dancers were doing with the sheets is called, but it looked really, really beautiful. We thought Rihanna sounded pretty good on the track, better than in previous live performances.
After her performance, Rihanna chatted with Ryan Seacrest about her upcoming tour and revealed some previously-unknown details. There will be two special sections on the stage for fans to sit in so they can actually be part of the show. Rihanna calls the sections "VIP." Sounds pretty cool to us... and probably expensive.

This may be her first single to miss the top 5 or top 10.
LOL This will rocket to #1, I'm sure of it. I don't know how many times this song has trended on twitter. It's popular & it's not even a single yet.
I think she has a huge cross-formatted hit on her hands and it's a nice change for her.
Her performance really did the song justice.
Rihanna did a great job. Song destined for number 1
